These have transported our relatively large aluminum canoe on multiple 5-6 hour drives to the Adirondacks without issue. The canoe is pretty secure once strapped down and these are thick enough to protect my cars finish from the canoe. Occasionally the canoe shifts slightly during driving but only in high winds. Works very well.
A few of the pieces seemed to almost be from a different run. Some pieces were slightly thicker than others (only by 1/8th of an inch mind you) and the colour was slightly off. Nonetheless they will keep your canoe in place while protecting your roof. They work as needed, and don’t disappoint… Unless you have OCD. Read more of Matt M.’s review
Good thing to have and good quality. The price for a block of foam is still far to high.
